Die Bücher sind wunderschön und ich hatte mir sehr viel von der Story erhofft, aber leider gibt sie nicht so viel her. Der Schreibstil ist schwach so wie auch die Hauptcharaktere.

Der Schuber ist wunderschön, die Taschenbücher sind gut verarbeitet und ein absoluter Augenschmaus.Zusätzlich bekommt man eine schönes Poster mit der Weltkarte.Bisher habe ich nur Band 1 gelesen.Die Geschichte ist eine klassische Fantasy-Story mit einem jungen Mädchen, das besondere Kräfte entdeckt und an den Hof des Herrschers kommt. Wem kann sie vertrauen? Können ihre Fähigkeiten wirklich ihr Land retten? Leigh Bardugo hat einen tollen flüsssigen Schreibstil, der sich gut lesen lässt. Ich musste einige englische Begriffe nachschlagen, aber dann ging es runter wie Butter. Die Grundgeschichte und die Charaktere wirken in Band 1 alle noch etwas starr und klischeehaft, aber Potenzial ist definitiv da. Was mich restlos begeistert hat, ist die einzigartige, detailreiche Fantasywelt, die Leigh Bardugo geschaffen hat. Das an Russland und Skandinavien angelehnte Universum überrascht durch kleinteilige und gut durchdachten Weltenbau, sowie jede Menge originelle Einfälle. Die Geschichte macht nur in dieser Welt Sinn und ist dadurch nicht so gewöhnlich, wie sie scheinen mag.Ich freue mich schon sehr darauf weiter zu lesen und kann den englischen Schuber nur empfehlen!
Die Bücher sind wirklich schön und wurden pünktlich geliefert. Leider ist die Box nicht besonders stabil und es ist schwierig, die Bücher unbeschädigt wieder reinzulegen.
Es beginnt mit den Covern der Bücher. Sie sind sehr anders als klassische Fantasycover und verstecken unglaublich viele Details aus der Geschichte. Das Setting ist sehr gut gewählt, eine Adaption von Russland, die ich in dieser Art zuvor in keinem anderen Roman kennenlernen durfte. Die Charaktere sind einzigartig und verwischen die Grenzen zwischen gut und Böse. Der Plot ist an keiner Stelle vorhersehbar. Große Empfehlung.
